IN OTHER WORDS
A Foster's ASP World Tour surfer since 1994 Victor Ribas is not only a hero on tour but is also a hero to his massive fan club in Brazil. The compact goofy foot has an astonishingly quick forehand and the left hand venues on tour strongly suit his style. A fighter who refuses to lay down when the going gets tough he has inspired almost two generation of wave riders in his home country and has been one of the band responsible for turning surfers into stars in his homeland. Ribas had a wobbly start to 2006 but came home strong with big finishes in the second half of the year. He claims that he usually feels stronger on the home straight and once again it assured that he will impress.
